Good to see John and Gerry at last evenings AGM and meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG).
The APPG on Coastal and Marine issues is now entering it’s third year and intends to use this year to look at deprivation on the coast with a particular emphasis on rural coastal areas.
I am anxious that as many of us as possible can have an input and effect and yesterday I took along representatives from communities from East Sussex and Kent to both attend that particular meeting and join Coastnet. There is no doubt that the more we ‘link arms’ with other areas the sooner we shall see some justice built in to the way our coast is managed and we are treated.
Good to see you guys well represented and I look forward to linking up at future meetings.

Further from Malcolm’s comment a big thank you to all of you who attended this years AGM for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Coastal & Marine Issues.

Further from our meeting with SCEG Feb 29 we are looking into setting up a coastal communities’ forum to build on the great work already being done and help more of you to link arms.

On a final note, CoastNet is very please to have SCEG on board the Holding Back the Tide project and looking forward to working more with the Scratby community. For more information go to http://holdingbackthetide.wordpress.com/
